SEO for Deeside and Flintshire

Local SEO for businesses in Connah's Quay, Mold, Flint, Buckley, Hawarden and the coast, including the Chester searches that cross the border. £200 a month, rolling monthly, first month free with a new website.

In short

Webso Digital runs local SEO for Deeside and Flintshire businesses from Wrexham: the Google map pack in Mold, Connah's Quay and Flint, the cross-border searches from Chester and the Wirral, and the Welsh-language queries the county makes. £200 a month with no lock-in. KP Tuning in Mold and Nick Auto Detailing in Connah's Quay are live Flintshire clients you can check.

Why businesses choose us

Flintshire searches are split three ways, and most SEO quotes only see one of them. There are the county's own searches, in Mold, Flint, Buckley and Holywell, which are small and competed for by a handful of local firms. There are the Deeside searches, where Connah's Quay, Shotton and Queensferry blur into one place and the customer types Deeside, Flintshire or the postcode. And there are the Chester searches: a business on Deeside Industrial Park is nearer to Chester city centre than to Holywell, and a good share of its customers search for Chester even when they live in CH5. A plan that ignores any one of the three leaves work on the table.

The map pack decides most of it. For a trade or a service, the three businesses Google shows on the map for "dpf cleaning mold" or "car valeting deeside" take the calls, and the ten blue links below them share what is left. The map is won with the Google Business Profile: the right categories, services with prices, the real service area, photos of real jobs and a steady flow of genuine reviews, all matched word for word with the website. Nick Auto Detailing's profile had its phone number hidden, the wrong hours and no website link when we started; within a week of fixing it, the profile was showing for "car valet near me" at an average position of 1.4 across Deeside.

The website carries the other half. KP Tuning in Mold had a site Google had quietly stopped trusting: 24 town pages that were 80 to 95 per cent identical once the place names were masked, ten of them left out of the index. We measured the duplication before touching anything, then rewrote each page around what is genuinely different about the place. Search impressions went from 1,310 to 2,832 in four weeks, and 51 of 52 pages are in the index, up from 29 of 40. We write that down because it is the pattern we see most often in Flintshire: a site that looks fine and is slowly being filtered out.

Welsh matters here more than in Chester. Mold is Yr Wyddgrug, Flint is Y Fflint, and Flintshire County Council works under the Welsh Language Standards, so a business selling to the council, schools or the health board gets searched for in both languages. Where it is worth it we build the Welsh pages as real pages with their own titles, not a translation widget Google cannot index.

Every month you get a plain-English report from your own Search Console data: which searches showed you, where, what was clicked and what we did about it. Rankings come from that data, never from someone typing your service into Google and screenshotting it, because Google personalises what it shows. We also check monthly whether ChatGPT and Google's AI name you for your questions, because a Deeside customer increasingly asks an assistant instead of searching.

Local SEO is £200 a month, rolling monthly with no lock-in. With AI search optimisation and Google Ads management together it is £400 a month for all three. The first month is free when we build your website.

Questions, answered

How much does SEO cost for a Flintshire business?

£200 a month, rolling monthly with no lock-in, and the first month is free when we build your website. AI search optimisation is from £150 a month on its own; SEO, AI search and Google Ads management together are £400 a month.

Should I target Deeside, Flintshire or Chester?

Usually all three, on different pages. Deeside and Flintshire are what your neighbours type; Chester is what a large share of your customers type, because the A494 and the A55 make the city the nearest big place for most of the county. Nick Auto Detailing's Chester page reached Google's top five in nine days while its Deeside page took the local searches.

How long before SEO brings calls in Flintshire?

The map pack can move within weeks once the profile is right; the website usually needs two to three months to earn trust for competitive searches. We judge nothing before day 28 and report every month so you can see the direction.

Does a Welsh version of my site help SEO?

If your customers search in Welsh, yes, and in Flintshire some do, especially for anything connected to the council, schools or health. The Welsh pages need to be real pages with their own titles; a translation widget is invisible to Google.

I already rank in Mold. Why am I invisible in Connah's Quay?

Because Google treats them as different places with different map packs, even though they are twelve minutes apart. A profile with the right service area and a page that is genuinely about Deeside, with real jobs and real reviews from there, is what moves the second map.

Can you work with the website I already have?

Yes, if it is sound. We start with a free audit that says what Google can and cannot see on it. If the site itself is holding you back we will say so and quote a rebuild with a fixed price.
